I've just moved into a 7 bedroom house, is it haunted, what will I do, my family are scared?

Hiya, I've just moved into a 7 bedroom house in New York, I've been in it for a couple of weeks now and my 3 children (Alissa-6, Jamie-10 and Matthew-10) have been staying in their bedroom and Matthew said that he seen an old man who was quite tall and he was wearing a red blazer, then a few weeks after Alissa and Jamie were helping me in the kitchen and Alissa heard someone walking up the stairs. Another one was when my husband had taken the children out somewhere and I was in my bedroom getting dressed and when I came downstairs my flowers that were supposed to be on the window still were standing up in the middle of the family room floor as if they were in an invisible vase! My husband and I decided to try a weegy board ( please exuse my spelling ) and we asked who was here with is and it spelled out John, we asked where he had ome from anf how old he was when he died, he said he was in the titanic and he died when he was 88. Anyway, my family are getting really scared and we don't what to do because we are from Liverpool but we moved to New York so we can't really move back! Please help, someone who actually knows what they're talking about! Thank you! xxx
