Can you get a job at age 13?

So I'm 13 years old and my parents have never stopped talking about the day I become a teenager and they finally get a chance to get rid of me for awhile.. So my parents want me to get a job which I wouldn't mind if I was 16 but I'm only 13 years old and they are trying to make me work.. I do help neighbors and stuff with yard work every summer and do make a little bit of money but they say that I have to work at a place like McDonald's or Taco bell.. I cant believe them because they are not living in reality. Times have changed since 1952 just saying. (They arnt that old they are in there 40's) So is there even a place that can hire me at this age? I am kinda angry because my parents have always said that I have no potential and they say that I am going to grow up to be a ditch digger mostly because I don't get all A+'s in school. My younger brother who is only 10 gets all A's in school but he is book smart and has absolutely no common sense like my parents. They say all I do is play Call Of Duty and eat, ****, and sleep. Anyway I am just wondering if any company's will even hire you at that age? I serious doubt it but I'm not sure. Do you think that my parents are just being *****? And please none of your liberal bullshit such as getting an attorney or contacting the government this is not child abuse.
