Back again about wifes talking to her exboyfriend?

I've contacted him via txt and her got ahold of her r away. She got pissed. She's not a gold digger cause I don't make that much money. He only lives 1 hr away and he's a player type. She even asked him advice about me cause we were fighting about him. She says he is just a friend now and has no feelings for him. She talks to all her ex'z. She also manages the money in the bank really well while I'm gone bu the consern is why would she insist on talking to this guy since he had treated her so bad in the past. Am I wrong for going through our phone records whatever it is they talk about should it be considered cheating? I would love some input from women please
